PSA is up, scans are next

Well, as I expected, my PSA count was up from 3 months ago. It's now at 2.20 up from 1.2 So the next step is a bone scan and CT Scan to see if there is visual evidence of the cancer. If not, I'still be going back on Androgen Deprivation Therapy via Lupron shots. Another step in the journey...

10 years and counting

well, on March 6th, it was the 10 year anniversary that I heard the words "you have cancer". Fast forward a decade and I'm very thankful for the support of friends and everyone in the medical community who touched my life. It hasn't been easy at times but I knew from the start it would be a battle and my mental attitude would determine my outcomes. So as I stand here today, I'm very grateful and happy and looking forward to another 30 years! Thanks to all for your support!

PSA still in check

I had blood work done on Monday and a visit with my Oncologist yesterday. While the PSA went up, it's still at a low enough level where we can postpone going back on meds. next check up is in 3 months and if the PSA climbs above 1.5, I'll most likely go on meds again. but until then, I'm a happy, health guy!

Mo success

A big THANKS to everyone who supported my Movember efforts. this was the biggest year yet! I'm so very proud to be able to 'pay it forward' and help raise awareness. Together we can find a cure!

Movember well under way

It's that time of year when men grow a Mo to help raise awareness around men's health. This year I'm leading the Splunk Mo team and it's been great. I decided to go with a 'smile style', check it out....

Dancing!

Just left my Oncologist's office, dancing down the hallway. my PSA is at 0.46.....still low. It's awesome news and I can hear my mom saying "yes!, that's great news" just like she always did when I told her about my test results. Great day!

15 President's Club trip.....now a 15th surgery

Yup, when my surgeon did my twiste bowel surgery in Nov, 2015, she said "do you know you have a hernia?" Well, it's time to get it fixed. BUT, THERE'S a twist. Due to all my abdominal surgeries, my stomach muscles are separated at 10cm. Surgery scheduled for September 19th.
